Join the Rice PBK chapter as we induct 2022-23 Rice graduates into the national society. Friends, family, and Rice community members are welcome to celebrate these accomplished students.
The ceremony will start at 10 a.m., followed by a short reception.

Join the Rice and University of Houston PBK chapters and the PBK Alumni Association of Greater Houston as we welcome Dr. P. Gabrielle Foreman to Houston. Dr. Foreman is serving as a national PBK Visiting Scholar in 2022-23, and we are honored to host her.
Dr. Foreman is Professor of English, African American Studies, and History at Penn State University, where she holds the Paterno Chair of Liberal Arts. She is also a 2022 MacArthur Fellow.
With the cancellation of the May commencement ceremony and on-campus events through the end of June, we will not hold an in-person induction ceremony this year. Instead, during the first week of May, we will send out a slide deck with videos, celebrating your accomplishment.

Location: Rayzor Hall, room 123
Please join us as we induct the 90+ graduating seniors who have been selected for membership in the Phi Beta Kappa honor society, and help us celebrate their noteworthy academic accomplishments. Family, friends, and instructors of the student honorees are welcome to attend.
The ceremony will last 60-70 minutes. Student honorees should arrive at Stude Concert Hall no later than 9:30 a.m.

Students who have been invited to join Phi Beta Kappa, and who have completed the registration process, will be inducted into the Beta of Texas chapter on Friday morning prior to Commencement. The ceremony will begin at 10:00AM, but inductees should arrive by 9:30AM. Seating may be limited, so please encourage your guests to arrive early.
To help those students learn more about Phi Beta Kappa, as well as the induction ceremony that will take place over graduation weekend, we hold an annual information session.
